I Peter 1:1
Peter writes to believers who have been scattered from their homeland and are trying to live as believers in a land that is not their own. They are experiencing all the things that people encounter when they live in a land that they were not born to: loneliness, language difficulties, rootlessness, isolation, separation from family and homesickness.
To help us get an idea of what that is like, we have 4 members of our church family who have gone through these very things to share with us some of their experiences. Peter gives instructions in his first letter for the "Comfort, Encouragement and Instruction for Christian Refugees." Our time together in the word will be an introduction to the 1 Peter.
